Co-Investment Fund

The objective of the measure is to invest in companies with high growth potential that develop or implement new products or technologies, with a special focus on businesses that develop, implement or intend to implement technological eco-innovations that mitigate the negative effects of climate change and greenhouse effect.

Who is eligible?

Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) registered in the Republic of Lithuania.

The maximum amount

The maximum investment amount is up to 1.6 million euros.

If the company is registered in Vilnius, Kaunas or Klaipėda, the fund’s investment may not exceed 70 %. If the company is registered outside Vilnius, Kaunas or Klaipėda, the maximum funding is up to 80 %.

The Ministry of Economy and Innovation has allocated 15 million euros for investments from the funds returned to and returnable to the ILTE fund.

How does it work?

Investment originators are private investors, which can be venture capital funds or teams of at least two business angels. They may regularly submit proposals to the venture capital fund CoInvest Capital, which manages the Co-investment Fund, for investments in viable companies.

CoInvest Capital fund invests with venture capital funds and business angel groups. Investments are made in projects that can generate the expected return on investment and ensure an easily predictable exit from investments.

CoInvest Capital participates in the management of the companies in which it will invest as a silent investor.

Co-investment Fund is a risk capital instrument of the Ministry of Economy and Innovation, managed by Invega together with Kofinansavimas UAB, a subsidiary of ILTE, established specifically for the management and efficient implementation of venture capital funds. The measure is implemented through the venture capital fund Coinvest Capital.
